About the Project

The Tambua Regeneration Project is located at Tambua Station, Cobar NSW, an area surrounded by rolling hills, flat plains and stony ridges. The project area covers 10,914 hectares and promotes the regeneration of permanent native forests. The property has been run as a Poll Merino Stud and a Brahman Cattle Stud and also for fine wool and beef production. The Evans family recently received an award for 100 years of living on the property

Project Co-Benefits

The Tambua Regeneration Project is located within the Cobar Peneplain Bioregion, characterised by open woodlands of bimble, Eucalyptus and white cypress (Callitris glaucophylla). The containment of feral animals in the area and consequent revegetation can aid local and regional biodiversity through the increase of habitat for native species.
